Integrative Medicine – IV Drip Therapy
Integrative Medicine is incorporated into the comprehensive medical care provided at Dr. JC Govender Physician Inc.
What is Integrative Medicine?
Integrative Medicine is not alternative or complementary medicine. Rather, it is an evidence-based approach that enhances conventional medical therapies used to treat common medical conditions.
This approach incorporates medical Intravenous (IV) therapies, including minerals, trace elements, amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants, and other essential nutrients. These therapies aim to restore the body’s natural balance, thereby promoting overall well-being, recovery, and healing.
IV therapies may be beneficial in the management of conditions such as anxiety, depression, migraines, insulin resistance, hyperthyroidism, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and many others. Integrative Medicine is increasingly practiced worldwide, particularly in leading healthcare systems such as those in the United States
Medical Intravenous Therapies
A wide range of medical conditions may benefit from tailor-made nutritional supplementation and immune-enhancing IV formulations.
All IV therapies require a consultation with our medical team. Following assessment, an individualized formulation will be prescribed and compounded, together with a clear treatment plan. Details regarding ingredients, intended outcomes, treatment frequency, and costs will be discussed in full prior to initiation.
Conditions that may benefit include:
Anxiety and stress-related disorders
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, including fatigue related to HIV, cancer, and post-COVID-19 infection
Cardiovascular health, including prevention or reduction of atherosclerosis and optimization of diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolaemia
Neurological disorders, such as migraines, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease
Detoxification, including exposure to environmental toxins and heavy metals (e.g. lead, arsenic, mercury)
Anaemia, including iron and vitamin B12 deficiency anaemias
Musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions, such as fibromyalgia, psoriasis, osteoporosis, and arthritis
Oncology support, including the safe use of high-dose Vitamin C in relation to its potential anti-tumour activity
